The Slate Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to supporting educational and informational activities, as well as, scientific research aimed at increasing awareness of endangered animals.

This group of girls in Davis, California have their own chocolate company and use part of their earnings to support charities for children and animals -- including The Slate Foundation!
Orangutan Cereal Box



Hannah from the UK used The Slate Foundation website as inspiration to bring awareness to endangered Orangutans. Her idea to spotlight endangered animals on cereal boxes is a great way to let people know about animals in need of our help!

The Salad Story



Jean de Dieu Tshileu, a young Congolese Political Refugee and friend of The Slate Foundation brings awareness to hunger by sharing his first encounter with a scary American dish...a salad!

The Anderson School, P.S. 334



The Students of The Anderson School, P.S. 334 in New York raised money through Common Cents' Penny Harvest program in support of The Slate Foundation. Through the Penny Harvest program, children between the ages of 4 and 14 convert their natural compassion for others into action by collecting pennies and turning those pennies into grants for community organizations. The Anderson School gets an A+ for taking ACTION!
